Would not Buy Again on InSinkErator Badger 1, 1/3 HP Household Food Waste Disposer 5
by LCD convert @ May 20,2012

$165.00 / $65.38

Unit started leaking through the case after a few years. Poorly designed and made. Probably designed to fail.
Replaced with a Waste King and it looks to be better made(less expensive also...it was the same price for a 1/2 hp). Read Full »

Great Stuff on Gorilla Glue 50036 Adhesive, 36-Ounces 5
by SgtM South Park, USM @ May 18,2012

$29.95 / $25.71

I use approx. 8 36 oz. bottles of this stuff a year. US Marines are known for being hard on furniture, steps, railings, etc. and my stuff would not hold up near as well without Gorilla Glue. Reasonably priced, durable as hell, easy to apply in most apps, my only beef is getting it on you. It sticks to skin, clothes, etc. as good as it sticks to wood. The only thing I have found that removes it from skin is time. Clothing, forget it. Small worry, considering how good it works. Great stuff I recommend to everyone I know. Read Full »

Very Strong on Polyken 231 Military Grade Duct Tape: 2 in. x 60 yds. (Black) 5
by Jason A. Kramer @ May 17,2012

$15.58

I've used junky duct tape before and this is not one of those. So far, I've used this tape for two things, one is to tape the straps up on my alice pack, and the other is to mark my mags for my AR 15. I believe that the tape which I had taken off my alice pack from the previous owner was the same and it held up for several years in rough climate. I wasn't a big fan of the cost of this od green duct tape, but you get a lot for your money. The roll is much larger than the grey tape you find at your local Walmart. Read Full »

Best Flashlights I have ever owned! on Life Gear LG530 Highland Tactical LED Flashlight with Red Tail Emergency Flasher, 700 Lumens 5
by Keith J. Kozuch "Deu @ May 17,2012

$139.99 / $108.97

This is actually the third Life Gear LED Flashlight that I have bought from Amazon. The first one I bought I didn't really know what I was getting. I just knew it was LED and 200 Lumens. When it came, man this thing just fit so well in my hand and it was soooo bright, it was love at first sight. The next time I saw Amazon had this as "deal of the day" I bought it also it was the 700 Lumen one really bright but it was a little too long for what I was using it for.I just purchased the 400 Lumen model which is just perfect to fit inside drawers and stuff. They all are made the same, really built solid. I think you will love any of these lights. They all also have a red blinker on the other end in case you want to signal someone or something like that. It's pretty cool. Read Full »

Insanely solid on Life Gear LG530 Highland Tactical LED Flashlight with Red Tail Emergency Flasher, 700 Lumens 5
by John S. Dean "John" @ May 16,2012

$139.99 / $108.97

I got this on a gold box deal - don't think I would've paid the retail price since I'm not sure any flashlight is worth THAT much. But if any flashlight was close, it would be this one.

I have a lot of flashlights, I get them in hopes they'll be good ones and I end up disappointed.

This thing is solid. Metal everywhere. And the cap on the end is a nice, tight fit, so I have no concerns of the seal leaking if I ever get this wet.

Bright - it is. And it's a good concentrated brightness with some good reach. The strobe function really is distracting - someone in another review mentioned how it would be useful for intruders - I can easily see blinding them and throwing off their vision with this thing then whacking them on the head to knock them out... It's *THAT* solid.

The diameter is just enough larger than the C cells in it to have good metal sides, so it fits VERY well in the hand as it's not as wide as most larger flashlights end up being. The weight is solid without being unwieldily. The only two downsides. First is the switch - three settings with power off between them - so power on full bright, click to turn off, click to turn on lower bright setting, click to turn off, click to do bright strobe, click to turn off. Then repeats. I would have preferred switching between the three options without turning off in-between them like other lights I have. But it's not enough to detract a star from, especially as if you let it sit off for a few seconds, it is back at the beginning, so you are full bright again without having to cycle through all the others every time. That was a bit of good thinking on someone's part...

Second thing is I would have liked to have the lens twist to adjust the beam. Spread it out a bit when desired, then focus to a tighter one. But with this brightness they probably figured there's enough spillage and reflection from whatever you're hitting that scatters anyway that it was not a required feature. Again, not enough of a whine to lose a star.

For the price I paid in the gold box deal, definitely worth it. For the full retail price, I don't think I'd pay that much for just a flashlight, but this is the closest thing I've ever had now that comes close to justifying it... Read Full »

Good Value on Moen DN6786BN Danbury Towel Ring, Brushed Nickel 5
by Deepak @ May 14,2012

$23.65 / $11.66

This is definitely no an Oil-Rubbed product. It has the rough feel to it. So, i would just call it a regular bronze colored Toilet Paper holder. Overall cheaper price than the retail stores. Read Full »

The best vent fan EVER! on Panasonic FV-05VQ5 WhisperCeiling 50 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan, White 5
by Smai-Tai @ May 14,2012

$196.00

We just bought a house and the people who used to live there took the vent fans in the two bathrooms. So we needed to get these in and up and running as soon as possible. Luckily we have windows in both bathrooms so we were able to cover the holes in the ceiling until a vent fan could be purchased and installed. I originally bought the Nutone ones from my local Home-Depot. However upon speaking with a friend of mine who is an engineer, contractor, basically a jack of all trades, he turned me to Panasonic. Him and his company only install Panasonic vent fans. I did some of my own research and noticed that the majority of the people who own one are happy. Our two bathrooms are not very big, but figured why not go for the bigger 150CFM versus the 110 CFM rated one? Over this past weekend we put them in. The install of them was a piece of cake, we did however already have holes in the ceiling from the previous vent fans that were in there. The biggest pain was putting in the ducting, as the previous owners took everything, and our attic is not what you would call spacious. HAHA. We used a wall timer on these as well instead of an ordinary off/on light switch. This is due to that these should be running for at least 20 minutes after the shower/bath has ended (they use very little power to run). Once they were installed we turned them on. After about a second or two you can hear the air moving and the ticking of the wall timer, but no motor. I was then very "old school" about how quiet they are. I thought that there is no way these move that much air. So right then, I decided I would test it out. I took a shower with the bathroom door closed and the window shut. I made sure it was as hot of water as I could bare. I took a normal 15 min or so shower. After I got out, there was no moisture anywhere in the bathroom, the windows were not fogged up, there was no moisture even on the walls or the ceiling. I was so amazed. I have since told everyone I can about these and suggest that if you are looking into getting one, go with a Panasonic. You will not regret it! Read Full »

Finally a Flag on Solar Group GC1W0000 Large Deluxe Plastic Mailbox and Post Combo, White by Solar Group 5
by Snedew @ May 14,2012

$68.99 / $58.85

After our mailbox was destroyed by a snow plow and reattached with a metal wire by the town, who refused to replace it or reimburse us, I needed to find and put up a functioning mailbox at a reasonable price. I shopped around at all the local big box hardware stores and was highly disappointed with the style selections, colors and cost of their options. While looking on Amazon I found this beauty, the white color mailbox is a perfect choice to match the accents of our home and is not a color available at my local stores. The price was also less expensive on Amazon and with free standard shipping we had received it in 2 DAYS, perfect for me to put in over this past weekend. I love having the two sided feature, as our street gets busy at rush hour when I get home and I'd like to be able to safely grab my mail, and the additional slot below is perfect so our local reminder isn't sitting in a puddle on the ground like it has the past several weeks. Installation was easy as I was able to remove the old existing 4x4 and replaced it with a new one not even needing cement for mine. We also found nice 2" numbered stickers that fit perfectly in the allotted spot and are highly visible. I would highly recommend this product as a unique and cost effective purchase. Read Full »
